Thanks,
I hope they will remember all the clay technique that I taught them, for about 9 years, I
was very happy to witness some of my student's achievements, both artistically and
academically. Teaching PC arts to the kids makes you feels younger and it's fun and
satisfying to see your stundent complete their projects.

Garie:

The children are so cute and so talented. Tell them
that Aunty is so very proud of all of them!

The boys making the swords looked very fierce in their
fighter's stance. I'm sure bad guys will just run
away.

The mice on the plate of food made me laugh.

The kitty cats looking out of the window filled me
with peace.

The archeologists amazed me. What a concept, teaching
them about art and science at the same time.

The children looked like they were all having such a
great time.

Thank you for taking the time to take the pictures and
put them on your website to share with us. I looked at
all of them and am just amazed.

xoxo

Aunty,
I appreciate your comments, its is great to share and exchange ideas in what we are
doing, the internet has brought us closer and its is great that I can talk to so many
talented people with the same interest, playing with polymer clay.
I realized that as teacher, we must educate and give them good direction, too much
computer games and television, is making the kids becoming anti social and lazy.
I always love teaching kids irrespective of their race or religion, my aim is to teach and add creative values in them. Creative values is very important to the kids, it will enhance their creative thinking and resolving problems, in their later years, as doctor, engineer, lawyer, architect, etc.
Kid always feel bored easily, either due to the lesson or the teacher, as teacher, we must be fun and the lessons, try to create interesting ideas, built from their interests.

Thanks for having this forum,

Garie

Garie, the pictures of your students and their works of art are just incredible! They look so proud of their accomplishments and they should be. They are all tremendously talented and their creations keep me smiling as I go from page to page on your site.

I was reading your page  "All About the Important of Play Clay Classes"
http://www.garieinternational.com.sg/clay/playclay.htm
There is so much more that you are doing for these children than just teaching them how to make something out of clay. They have to work hard to create their art but it's fun for them too. It takes a very caring teacher to put the happiness in the faces of their students and you are a teacher like that. The world needs a lot more people like you!
Thank you for sharing such wonderful things with us ...I always look forward to seeing what you and your students have been doing!
Hugs, Luny :]

Thanks Michele, we appreciates your comments. Lately, you have been very active in City. You have an interesting album of everything and the family, it is also a source of
inspiration, family members, activities, unity and happiness. I love your workspace, it so organized, compact and a television on the side is very important.
I love teaching kids, have been rewarding and inspiring them with anything that they can imagine. For about 9 years, I have been encouraging and rewarding them in their
achievements with any clay project. For example, I will starts a Haunted House project, the kids will create all the ghosts, monsters, bats, tomb stones, haunted tree, etc., completion of the project, will be rewarded with a haunted house complete with cob webs, broken windows, door and glass panes. This will encourage them to play with what they have created.
For some other project, like sword, Power Ranger, Chinese Swordsman, in order to prevent them from been violent through play, the sword or weapon will break on any hard impact.Eventually they will understands the meaning of treasuring their projects.
The basic requirements on teaching play clay is Fun, dedication, caring, motivation.
Happy Easter to you, Aunty and everyone in City-o-Clay.

Garie

Garie,

Thanks for sharing the talented work of your students!  I especially
loved the swords - can't help it I love weaponry, and I have a small
armory of my own with real stuff.  LOL

I shared the link with some of my friends in the Scottish Regiment I
march with.  I'm sure they'll all enjoy looking at the swords, as they
also tend to collect the real deal, more so than me!  <giggle>

It is wonderful to see your students having such a good time while
creating.  :-)

Thanks for sharing with us.

Debbie, Thanks for the compliments, I love to have an armory too, but we have to face the law keeping the real stuffs. I once collected the Malay Kris, Ninja Swords, Samurai Swords and daggers..........real stuffs. I gave them away and some of them are illegal. What I left is Excalibur Sword from Franklin, its my son's favorite sword.
There is also an old chinese saying and FengShui principle that you cannot keep to many knives and swords in the house, otherwise, husband and and wife will end upquarreling and fighting each other all the time.
I just love weapons and the kids especially, the boys will be very diligent and happy when they creates their favorite weapon.
I am against violent, when it comes to playing with them, it was design to break on any
hard impact and the kids will not hurt each other while playing with it.
Wow, " Scottish Regiment " history of the regiment date back to 1859, I am proud of them wearing their distinctive uniform and their cap badge.
I am glad you enjoy what our kids are doing and it always fun to share.

Regards ; ),
Garie
